Regular care helps keep the eZIP® track system and outdoor fabric operating correctly.
The manufacturer recommends:
- Regularly removing dirt and debris from exposed components.
- Hosing the tracks with clean water approximately every six months.
- Using a soft brush or cloth rather than abrasive cleaning products.
- Never applying lubricant or silicone spray to the zip or zip runner.
- Allowing fabric to dry properly before rolling it away.
- Raising blinds during storms or extreme wind conditions.
- Never leaving an eZIP® blind partially lowered during extreme weather.
eZIP® track blinds have a standard 5-year manufacturer’s warranty, which extends to 10 years when fitted with an eZIP® extruded aluminium pelmet, subject to the manufacturer’s warranty conditions.

Are eZIP® blinds waterproof?
eZIP® is an outdoor blind system designed to provide weather protection, but the level of water protection depends on the fabric selected, installation and weather conditions.
The blinds should not be treated as a completely sealed external wall, and the manufacturer recommends raising them during storms and extreme weather.
Can eZIP® blinds handle strong winds?
eZIP® is designed to handle moderate winds, with its track-guided retention system helping secure the blind fabric.
However, eZIP® recommends raising blinds during storms or extreme wind conditions and never leaving them partially lowered during severe weather.
What maintenance do eZIP® blinds require?
Keep the tracks and components free from dirt and debris and periodically rinse exposed extrusions with clean water.
Do not use silicone sprays or lubricants on the zip or runner, and avoid abrasive sponges, solvents and high-pressure cleaners.
What warranty comes with eZIP® outdoor blinds?
eZIP® track blinds are backed by a standard 5-year manufacturer’s warranty.
This extends to 10 years when the system is fitted with an eZIP® extruded aluminium pelmet. Separate warranty conditions may apply to motors, controls, fabrics and automation components.
